PCB Layout Engineer

Job Description
The PCB/CAD designer will work with engineers and designers to build and maintain symbol/footprint part libraries, and PCB layout, and generation and maintenance of complete board documentation. Primary duties include:
• Design of printed circuit boards, including schematic generation, board layout, and fabrication/assembly documentation using PCB CAD tools
• Translation of design input from electrical and mechanical engineers into detailed PCB designs to industry standard techniques
• Generation of complete board fabrication and assembly documentation packages, including assembly, drill, silk screen, solder mask and solder paste drawings, layer drawings, Gerber files, and Bills of Material
• Ensure designs follow SI constraints, EMI/RFI control, FCC, UL, and other world wide regulations
• Assisting in manufacturing
• General documentation support, supporting cross-company documentation requests and ECOs

Experience and Skills
• Education as BSEE / Diploma(preferred) or as Technician
• 2-4 years of experience and proficiency using PCB layout tools such as Mentor PADS, Cadence OrCAD, Allegro
• experience using AutoCAD for fabrication and assembly drawings
• Experience in electronic packaging
• Knowledge in High Density interconnect (Blind- / Buried Via).
• Detailed knowledge of circuit design and consideration for layout, routing and timing, DFM, DFA, DFT constraints
• Understanding of component placement sensitivities and Design For Manufacturing & Assembly
• Familiarity with IPC-D-325 board documentation requirements
• Excellent communication skills
