Indian Tandoori Chef/Chef De Partie

A modern Indian restaurant is looking for a competent Tandoori Chef. A successful candidate will be responsible for: managing his/her own section, responsible for preparing and cooking all types of Tandoori dishes including breads from the menu using traditional techniques and ingredients, also prepare and recommend some new clay oven dishes to the Head Chef for the added menu variety, responsible for high levels of hygiene control and health and safety within his/her own area, will be required to develop the junior kitchen staff and provide them necessary training in the required areas to maintain food quality.

You demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and attention to detail, have the proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment whilst maintaining quality and consistency of food from you’re disciplined and well led kitchen brigade. You will possess a high level of culinary skills and are an expert in the field of Indian Cuisine with flair and passion for Indian food. You will be responsible for the full day-to-day management of the kitchen. You will control resources and set and control budgets. You will be responsible for food safety and health and safety of the kitchen. You will work with the Executive Head chef on menu development, staff management and discipline.

An applicant must have at least 3 years experience in a similar position at NVQ level 3 or above or equivalent.

Average working hours: 40 hrs per weeks and 5/6 days over 7 days week
A can do attitude and should be able to work under pressure. The company provides excellent incentive training programmes. Accomodation and Food is inclusive.
